The best part of this constant action, sometimes graphic story about saving the earth, is the relationship of the main character, Silas Hill, and his longtime buddy and fellow monster fighter Cooper. Their dialog is sharp and snappy, but the reader always knows that they care deeply for each other. Add in two competing hideous creatures, bent on destroying everything in sight, werewolves, and government sanctioned aliens and the action never stops.
